Celluclay part 2

In part 1, I used Celluclay to put a face on a Bucky skull. I gave it a few days to let it thoroughly dry, and then sanded it to remove the excess texture. I was able to get ride of most of the unwanted texture. There are still some pits that I sanded for quite some time and was still unable to eliminate. Overall, though, I believe it could make a passable human face (once it is painted, of course).

The next step is to let it continue drying for a while. When I used Crayola Model Magic, as it dried over many days, the face started cracking. If this is going to crack, I want it to happen before paint it so that I have the option of patching the crack or just using paint to help hide it. So, I'll probably let it sit for 4 to 6 weeks (end of June or beginning of July, 2009) to see if time has any effect on it. I'll report back on this at that time.
